Gitano Jungle
An iconic jungle setting where mezcal, cuisine, music, and tropical vegetation turn dinner into a long night beneath the palms of Tulum.
Gitano Jungle built much of its identity around an image that today seems inseparable from Tulum: tables tucked away among tropical vegetation, warm lights, mezcal and music slowly appearing as night falls.
The experience can begin around the kitchen and cocktails, but does not necessarily end there. The mezcal holds a special place in the house, while DJs and music progressively transform the atmosphere and make the distance between restaurant and dance floor begin to disappear.
That change is an essential part of Gitano. In the early hours it can still feel like a dinner inside a tropical garden; later, the same vegetation serves as a stage for a much freer, more social and louder night.
The gypsies made movement part of their history. Gitano Jungle seems to have found another way to interpret it: first around a table and then on the dance floor. The direction changes, but the idea remains the same: staying still was never really the plan.
